Emerging from Lockdown

Well, it’s not over-stating matters to say the world has changed. Perhaps the old ways will never return.

Let’s take the opportunity to start over. Better.

Welcome to my new site. I hope it’ll evolve as I share a few of the things I care about most.

I’ve spent most of my life making films (have a quick look at the About Me section if you’re interested), so a fair amount of what you’ll find here is related to the media, one way or another.

I’ve taught at a number of Universities and hosted countless panels at film festivals around the world – and there are a few FAQ’s I’ll try to answer when I get time.

I’m going to share my favourite books, movies and pieces of music. I’ll share pictures and maybe some bits of my work.

I’ll also write about some of the issues I think are most crucial as, at the time of writing, in the UK we emerge from yet another COVID lockdown.

I’m really, really hoping it’s the last major one, although I have to say I’m not convinced…
